Well .. this is embarrassing.

We are having trouble communicating with our backend services.
This can be due to a number of reasons.

In all but the worst case scenarios (e.g. the zombies, asteroids, plague, aliens) our engineers will have been notified of the problem by automated monitoring systems, and will have been dispatched to resolve the issue as matter of the utmost urgency.

In either event, we recommend that you return in about an hour and check that the issue has been resolved in the meantime.
